They also lie to you! We asked multiple times if my grandfather had developed bed sores, since he'd been in bed for about 3 weeks, and the kept assuring us he did not. This place just lets patients wander around unsupervised and if you volunteer to push a patient (that is struggling) into the dining room (or where ever they would like to go) you are told you can't. The CNAs regularly complained about how much they hated their jobs and most of the RNs walked around like they were just the best thing ever.

It always smelled as if all the residents needed their diapers changed and if you asked they staff to do anything it was like pulling teeth. The beds look like they bought them at the dump and the bedding from some dumpy hotel. Some of the nursing staff was great but the rest of the place was terrible. I finally moved her to a way better facility in El Paso. I did everything in my power to have her transferred another facility, it took me two weeks to do paperwork because the people at sagecrest gave me the runaround but I just couldn't see my mother crying everyday.

Awful service! The rooms haven't been maintained since God knows when, there's holes in the walls, the beds (cots) are not sturdy, the sheets are dirty, there's not TV in the rooms, the bathroom my mother was sharing with 3 other residents was filled with boxes and it was difficult for my mother to maneuver her wheelchair often causing her to have "accidents." I went to see her everyday for the two weeks she was there and before I would leave, she would ask me to help her go to the bathroom because the nurses wouldn't help her and when she asked the CNA's some of them would curse at her and help her in a rough way and with an attitude and telling her hurry up.
